• Desire Doberman's Kennel offers stud service to only approved dams. The dam must be fit, healthy, breed standard, and between 2-5 years old. We do require health testing for the health of the dam and the future litter, this includes but many not be limited to a current echo, 24 hour holter, vwd status, and hip exam. With stud service you will be provided a copy of the pedigree, copy of the signed contract, links to the stud's health testing, and one profile picture of the stud. You will not receive a copy of the AKC/UKC registration certificates or any personal/private information about the owners. We also require the females pedigree prior to mating so we can look it over and make sure it is a good match with our stud.

 

• Conditional Terms: Please be aware pregnancy is not guaranteed. Pregnancy is a complicated process and anything can happen to compromise a pregnancy (from insufficient diet to environmental or accidental exposure to stress). We do offer a conditional next heat stud service if a litter smaller than 3 puppies is produced. Re-session only if all of the following are met:

  •  

  • Progesterone testing was done to track ovulation timing.​

  • Mating occurred withing 24 hours of peak ovulation.

  • Pregnancy was confirmed by a veterinarian not to have taken.

  • Dam was not vaccinated (including Rabies) a minimum of 4 weeks prior to start of estrus (heat).

  • Dam was fed a balanced pregnancy, puppy, all-life stages food, or a balanced raw diet.

  • Vet provides a letter stating the dam is healthy, fit for breeding and the pregnancy not taking was not related to inadequate health, poor ovulation, poor hormones, poor nutrition, or illness. The veterinarian must also state the client has been established a minimum of 6 months with a minimum of 2 vet visits.  

  • Dam is between 2-5 years old. Any dogs older than 5 are a one-time breeding, we do not promise a second session if pregnancy doesn't take.

  • Dam has had a negative Canine Brucellosis test result within 7 days of breeding.

  • Dam is on pregnancy safe mediations (vitamins, supplements, flea and tick medication, dewormer, etc.)

  • Dam was dewormed at least 2 months prior to mating.

 

• Dams can be denied for the following reasons - 

  • Dams with minimal health testing will not be offered a rebreeding. ​

  • We requite a letter from the vet stating the dam is STD clear (herpes, Brucellosis, etc.) and health enough for a re-session.

  • If any of the above conditions and conditional terms were not met.

• If the next mating fails to take as well we will offer one of the following:

  • Either ONE more re-session, an AI session -we provide the stud only, we will not pay for the AI, the collection, or the service from the veterinarian. All AI must be done through a qualified reproductive veterinarian. ​

  • Or a ONE time breeding to another female who meets all of our requirements with a statement of infertility of the original dam by your established veterinarian or our reproductive veterinarian. 

  • If we have more than one male standing at stud ONE attempt with a different stud.

• Stud owner agrees if a failed breeding takes place they will have the male's semen checked by their reproductive veterinarian after the first failed attempt. They will not be required to do so after any re-session. 

  • If the semen count is below standard we will offer the use of another stud. IF another stud is not available we will offer a refund or use of frozen semen from the original male. Stud owner will not be responsible for any costs of AI or shipping of frozen semen. ​

  • If another stud is available, that we own, the dam owner can choose to use the second stud for the re-session.

Fraud Clause: Desire Dobermans Kennel believes in honesty and openness. We do not tolerate theft or impersonation of us or our dogs. If we find out a litter has been registered without our prior approval we will immediately file a case with the AKC, have the litter registrations revoked, and pursue legal action for theft, defaming, personal identity fraud, and whatever else our lawyer sees fit. We will file a police report and push for charges to be filed. Do not use our registrations, certificates, pictures, kennel name, dog names, or pedigrees as your own. We will not hesitate to act immediately nor will we warn you.
